bonsaiLAN ethernet option board is still available

bonsaiDRIVE

We would recommend all users to install the latest firmware BF00.63.
Please see bonsaiDRIVE manual page 22 for information on how to update your bonsaiDRIVE.

Firmware BF00.63 can be used for all existing bonsaiDRIVEs, also for units without bonsaiLAN or SDI module installed.

The firmware upload consists of two parts of which the first flashes the bonsaiDRIVE itself and the second flashes the bonsaiLAN module.
bonsaiDRIVEs without a bonsaiLAN module installed will boot up after the first part of the firmware update.

A Delock 61702 SATA to IDE converter allows you to install a SATA harddisk into your bonsaiDRIVE. We have gained good experiences with Western Digital WD10 drives because of their low power consumption. Please notice that a bonsaiDRIVE can address maximum 1TB.

Firmware BF00.63 has been adapted to Apple's new software Compressor 4 with integrated FTP upload functionality.
Compressor 4 provides easy transcoding of various input formats into uncompressed 8-bit QuickTime files for use with bonsaiLAN.
QuickTime 7 Pro for OSX is no longer available, but can still be used to create uncompressed 8-bit 4:2:2 files.
